• sub contractor coordination
• quality control
• council inspections 
• dealing with architects, engineers and client subtrades

I used all these skills to achieve a product finished to a high standard.

2004 - 2003 Shop Fitting - Thorpes of Great Glen

Job Tasks - Shop fitting in central London for a high end business that included major international corporates such as HSBC. I worked on large construction projects and this work was completed to a very high specification. This job taught me about attention to detail.

2000 - 2003 Labour Only Contract

Job Tasks - Contracting to G.J. Gardner Whangamata. Construction of residential housing for the local franchise of G.J. Gardner. During my time at this job, I worked on numerous houses throughout the Coromandel. This was an excellent grounding in residental construction, due to the repetitive nature of residental construction and the house turn over.

1999 Mainzeal Construction

Job Tasks - Junior site engineer working in highrise construction including theadolite, site set out, quality control, subtrade instruction and management. In this position I learnt the workings of a large scale civil construction site, including safety management, programming, quantity surveying and subtrade co-ordination.

1996 Junior Quality Surveyor

Job Tasks - Working for a quantity surveying firm taking quantities of residential and light commercial buildings. Extensive use of NZS3604 giving me knowledge of residental take off and building products.
